Made in the St Emilion Bordeaux style, this wine has good depth and structure. It has plummy fruits from the merlot and darker cherry characters and firm tannins from the cabernet franc. It expresses depth and intensity with a long back palate. Suited to rich meat dishes such as double cooked duck or roast lamb.

Made from a cool vintage the wine exhibits nice red cherry and cedar oak aroma. The palate is firm and medium-bodied in the northern Rhone Valley style. It has good cherry fruit flavours on the front palate and distinct spicy and savoury notes which linger nicely on the back palate. The wine will reward cellaring. Cellar door special.

McKellar Ridge 2009 Trio
