The grapes for this wine were full flavoured and the wine was made to retain a little residual sugar. As a result, this wine is quite luscious. It has tropical fruit notes on the nose and a full, rich palate, providing tropical fruit and citrus characters. It is designed as an aperitif or well suited to complement spicy Asian food dishes.

Tasting Note: Made from hand-picked early-picked Shiraz and Viognier from Point of View Vineyard, this is a delightfully light pink Rosé with strawberry aroma on the nose and a delightful dry, but fruity palate and a nice long spicy finish. Perfect for summer afternoons.

McKellar Ridge 2011 Riesling

Tasting Note: The Riesling was made from hand-picked fruit from Long Rail Gully vineyard. The freshly pressed juice was cooled to 15 degrees centigrade and then fermented at low temperatures. It has produced a wine with a nice floral aroma with a firm citrus and lime palate that has considerable length on the back palate.

Made in the St Emilion Bordeaux style, this wine has good depth and structure. It has plummy fruits from the merlot and darker cherry characters and firm tannins from the cabernet franc. It expresses depth and intensity with a long back palate. Suited to rich meat dishes such as double cooked duck or roast lamb.

Made from a cool vintage the wine exhibits nice red cherry and cedar oak aroma. The palate is firm and medium-bodied in the northern Rhone Valley style.
