(Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc)

Made as a true Bordeaux blend with the three major Bordeaux grapes, Cabernet Sauvignon is dominant providing deep fruit flavours of blackberry and black currant, long dry tannins, complimented by the plum and cherry flavours of the Merlot and Cabernet Franc. This wine has considerable depth and back palate spice and grip. Seven vintages have been made and they have demonstrated the aging potential of the wine.

Trio 2013

( reserve wine )

A warm vintage produced an intense Cabernet Sauvignon/Cabernet Franc/Merlot blend. It has intense dark cherry and blackberry flavours in the middle palate finishing long and savoury with fine tannins. Will cellar well.
“Stringy herb notes, powerful blackcurrant up front before dipping through the mid-palate, despite the blend of varieties. Finishes tannic and dry but with a return to more flavoursome times. Will not fall over any time soon; patience required. “

“A particularly leafy and red fruit dominant bouquet lead to a medium-bodied and finely poised palate, red fruits to close.”
