McKellar Ridge Riesling is made in the dry but floral Alsace style. The fruit is hand-picked, destemmed and basket pressed before transfer to refrigerated stainless steel vats for fermentation at 15 degrees centigrade. The wine has good varietal expression, floral, fresh and crisp on the palate with good citrus intensity and length.

Riesling 2015

(reserve wine)

“Flavour and impact are the keynotes of a Riesling with ample lime/citrus aromas and flavours, heightened by some low level residual sweetness offset by good acidity. No need for patience, but the wine won't fade quickly.”

Riesling 2017

The wine exhibits the typical riesling nose of citrus and lime with a subtle floral note. The palate is crisp and dry with fresh lime flavours coming through. The wine lingers on the palate with the citrus and lime components providing a long finish and good intensity. The wine is expected to develop additional complexity with age.
