Mother’s Day “Wine Women and Song”

McKellar Ridge Wines invites you to their cellar door to celebrate “Wine, Women and Song” on Mother’s Day, Sunday 13th May 2018.

11am JUICE: A dance performance created by Canberra ensemble Somebody’s Aunt with musicians Nitya Bernard Parker and Andrew Purdam. Inspired by McKellar Ridge Wines: the land, grapevines and the transformative alchemy that brings wine into our lives! Filled with joy, pleasure and humour, this performance celebrates wine, women and the cycle of life. $15 for performance, wine tasting and light refreshments. 11 – 11.30am, beginning at the grapevines.

12:30 Tuscan long table lunch to celebrate family, friends and the bountiful fruits of the Canberra region. Critically acclaimed Canberra composer and performer, Sally Greenaway and her talented musical ensemble will be performing an evocative range of jazz works inspired by female composers to accompany the delicious meal. Award winning wine will be paired with the sumptuous feast!
$30 for lunch. Award winning wine available by the glass or bottle.

2pm – 3:30 “Wine and Watercolour” – Meet talented watercolour artist and former co-owner of McKellar Ridge Wines, Janet Johnson, who will present her latest exhibition at McKellar Ridge cellar door. A stunning collection of original artwork that encompasses romantic vineyards, the Canberra landscape, Southcoast scenery and exotic Europe. Janet will discuss her inspiration and techniques while you enjoy award winning wine and delectable canapes. Canberra classical vocalist Sally Greenaway and her musical ensemble will create an elegant ambience. Artwork will be available for purchase.
$15 includes a glass of wine and canapes.
