The Season - 2013

Added Monday, 21/1/2013

Hot and dry sums it up – very different from last season’s wet and cool. We have been watering all through January and the vines, in spite of the hot conditions, are still in good shape. Fruit levels on the vines are modest, which will suit the vines in a dry season, as the fruit comes to maturity over the next 6-8 weeks.

Vine and Grape Assessment

Added Tuesday, 7/2/2012

At Point of View vineyard, Murrumbateman, we received good rains in sping and early summer which promoted vine growth and provided some disease risks which we have covered by a strict preventative spraying regime. January, fortunately was relatively dry ( especially given the cyclonic conditions producing extreme rainfall events across Queensland and Northern NSW).

2012 Vintage Blog

Added Monday, 30/1/2012

This vintage we are going to write a short daily blog on our vintage experiences. The idea is to convey to you our impressions of the grape quality, harvesting, crushing, fermenting and pressing experiences. This will includes a photo or two, the occasional short video (if we master the technology!) and short descriptions. So for those of you who are unable to call in and see our vintage activities first hand, this will be your chance to see it unfold via the website. We hope you will find it interesting and feedback will be welcome. We expect the vintage blog to begin in early to mid March.
