After our winer break, the McKellar Ridge cellar door will reopen on Sunday 1st September. We will be releasing our Cherie d'Amour (Sauvignon Blanc) and Riesling from the beautiful 2013 vintage. The 2010 reds which are drinking very nicely, will also be available.

McKellar Ridge won a Silver medal at the recent Winewise awards for the 2008 Trio (Bordeaux Cabernet blend) (Class 81) showing that Canberra District can produce very good Cabernets and they have long life – in fact they are rewarded by cellaring as the great Bordeaux wines are. This may partly explain why Canberra Cabernets often fail to excite when shown young at wine shows, but later blossom into great wines.
